Ross Lovegrove Design

Ross Lovegrove collection Organic Dreams for Maletti Group, leader in beauty design.

Organic Dreams Design by Ross Lovegrove.

Danilo Premoli interview.
The world I have attempted to create with Maletti is unreal and in continuous progress, with ideas and forms that stimulate our senses and permit us to experience the beauty of technology and materials, the perfection of their application". This is how Ross Lovegrove introduces his project for Maletti, a company founded in 1936 and now an industrial group subdivided into five distinct units, world leaders in the field of furnishings and equipment for hairdressers, beauty centers, beauty farms and health spas. "After having invented, with the PresenceParis trademark, the segment of 'very high design' in the niche of furnishings for hair salons, with the collections designed by Philippe Starck, Borek Sipek and Claudio Silvestrin -says Danilo Maletti, president of the group- now we have gotten Lovegrove involved, for the historic Maletti brand. He has designed the collection Organic Dreams, characterized by sinuous forms, futuristic lines, refined materials, rich detailing, sensuality. For us the designer has managed to combine his distinctive fluid forms with technology, creating veritable contemporary sculptures". And Ross Lovegrove adds: "The Organic Dreams series is comprised of a set of furnishings and accessories that reflect the 21st century in their design, their technology and their aesthetic vitality. Each single piece in this collection represents a sizeable investment of time, energy and investment, in an attempt to break with a tradition of this particular sector, usually filled with dull, banal furnishings". The first available pieces are the Styling Dream styling station and armchair; in the coming months they will be joined by shampoo equipment, tables, waiting chairs and complements, for a collection of 22 different pieces in all.
